Welcome!
Salutations! My name is Teresa Vazquez. In 2011, I became a part of the Fort Bend ISD Family. It is such an honor to have been chosen to be part of Donald Leonetti Elementary. I look forward to serving my community and all its families by helping to carry on the spirit and legacy of a cherished community servant. GO TEAM KINDER!!!
In 2010, I received my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Victoria. Prior to teaching I worked with the FBISD Extended Day Program for almost 5 years. Since 2003, I have been working with children as a volunteer, team mom, mentor and small group ministry leader. I have had the opportunity of working with Kinder through 5th grade and even mentored 7th and 8th graders. I have always had a passion for teaching and by far this has been the most enriching career!
On a more personal note, I am the mother to an amazing son named, Sebastien. My brilliant son just graduated from Ridge Point High School in 2017 and is currently working on his Real Estate Licence. I was born in Nuremberg, Germany on a United States Army base along with my twin brother. I have lived in Texas since I was 2 years old and I currently live in Sienna Plantation.
When I am not teaching there are many things that I enjoy. I read every day. I love to pray, laugh, sing and play. Family, photography, creating, designing, graphics, original art work, swimming, KAYAKIGN, learning, painting, music, food, coffee, yellow, books, sleeping, laughing and hugs are some of my favorite things. My favorite vegetable is spinach and I love water. I have 2 cats named Maybach and Tiki and they always makes me laugh.
In the coming months you will begin to see your child grow and change right before your eyes. It is my privilege and honor to be a part of your child’s education. My hope is to create a learning environment that brings out your child’s strengths and curiosity. It is my heart’s desire to create and fuel their passion to be a lifelong learner. I am looking forward to a successful year and even more excited about being able to witness the growth your child will quickly embrace.
Please feel free to email me with any comments or concerns. Go LIONS!
Infinite Thanks,
~Ms. Vazquez~
